Caprice Cars invites you to tour world renown South Australian wine regions in luxury with us. From the Barossa & Clare Valley to McLaren Vale, Adelaide HIlls and beyond. The world famous wineries of SA are just a short drive away. Time will fly by as you get to sit back and relax while you’re transported across the gorgeous landscapes of our fair state.
We have a variety of luxury vehicles to take you tasting. Our primary line of luxury cars suit up to 4 passengers, while comfortable pristine vans can seat 7 – 8 passengers. All our trips come with complementary water to keep you hydrated while we travel.
South Australia’s wine regions are the backyard of Caprice Cars, and with our informative wine tours you are the captain of your expedition. Book a private tour (minimum 5 hours) and choose the wineries & food stops, or book one of our suggested tours and we can show our favourites (and believe us when we say you’ll understand why they’re our favourites). We have many different types of wine and food tours available. Below are some examples to give you an idea of what your tour could look like. Should you prefer a set tour you can view a selection of options below or feel free to contact us to arrange something more personal – keeping in mind the day is yours and we’d much rather take you to the places you prefer.
For the wine connoisseur
(Luxury Sedan, up to 9 hours)
Spend a day with us tantalising your tastebuds when sampling velvety smooth bespoke wines from some of the world’s best award winning cellar doors, which their winemakers have produced purely for your enjoyment … we can assure you, they really have perfected the art and chemistry of winemaking.

Food Lovers Paradise
(Luxury sedan, 8 hours)
Pick up 9:00am city location and head up to the small town of Hahndorf known for its original German-style architecture and artisanal food.
9:30 am Bean & Bikkie Co – Grab a coffee & indulge in their homemade treats – a gingerbread lovers dream!
Whilst here have a look around, enjoy the amazing market stalls & what the locals have to offer. Here you will find the likes of Robern Menz & Udder Delights where we will end up meeting you.
12:00pm Off to the Adelaide Central Market where we can grab a bite to eat as well as experience an abundance of great produce and treats (see just a selection of them below). There is something for everyone!!
12:40pm a good place to start would be Haighs Chocolates – an iconic South Australian business – you’ll get see what all the fuss is about.
You just can’t go past their milk chocolate freckles (or so we’ve heard) !!
Interesting facts about the Adelaide Central Market:
The Adelaide Central Market is one of the largest undercover fresh produce markets in the Southern Hemisphere, with 1 million kilograms of fresh produce delivered to the Market and sold every month. The Market offers a huge range of fresh food including fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, seafood, cheeses, bakery, smallgoods and health foods, along with some of Adelaide’s most frequented cafes and eateries. With more than 9.5 million visitations every year, the Adelaide Central Market remains the food mecca for multicultural cuisine and fresh produce. In 2019, the Adelaide Central Market celebrated 150 years of continuous operation, making it the oldest food retail market in its original location in Australia. It is also a popular tourist attraction in the heart of Adelaide and is often referred to as the Central Market.

Kangaroo Island Stall – these guys stock the most comprehensive range of KI produce, spirits, wine, health and beauty products … worth a look!
To finish our day off, we’ll pop into Quinzi’s Confectionery – a small family run business that specialise in sugared almonds … BUT you can’t go past their choc coated berry jellies (or so we’ve heard :P)

Full-Day Barossa Valley Winery Tour

The Barossa Valley is a winemaking region full of history and tradition, and the current producers want to uphold it by not only producing stellar wines but by creating amazing visitor experiences to go with them. Dotted around the Barossa Valley are memorable cellar door experiences that celebrate the best of each producer’s wine production pedigree, with fine drops and gourmet local produce going hand in hand to create an unforgettable experience.

Adelaide Hills Experience Tour (Luxury Sedan, up to 8 hours)
Renowned for its cool climate in comparison to other winemaking regions in the state, the Adelaide Hills wine region is actually quite diverse. Thanks to its rolling hills, the area is graced with low and high altitudes allowing for microclimates to form and produce a variety of flavour profiles and intensities.
Let us take you to a selection of some of the highlights you will find in the Adelaide Hills.

Full-Day Winery Tour (Luxury Van, 8 hours)
Looking to do your own thing and set winery visits aren’t for you … then let’s start planning your perfect day!
Whether you’re considering the picturesque McLaren Vale or the breath taking Barossa Valley both of which are renowned for their world-class wines and culinary experiences, or visit some of the award winning wineries in the Adelaide Hills you really have an abundance of choices.
Starting with two wineries before our lunch stop, then two wineries after will give you plenty of time to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed, of course, if we have any time up our sleeve we can work out where else you would like to go to on the day.
When it comes to lunch whether you’d prefer silver service or rather keep it casual and enjoy a pub meal the choice is completely yours.

Private Tours FAQs
How long do your tours go for?
Our standard tours are either a half-day (4 hours) or full-day options (8 hours+) from pickup to drop-off. If you would like to vary these hours, please call the office on +61 418 112 999 to discuss your needs.
Private tours may be booked for a minimum of 5 hours.
So you are aware, the earliest we can arrange the first pick up is at 9:00am as most of our wineries / distilleries / breweries don’t open their cellar doors until 10:00am and tend to close between 4:00-5:00pm.
Can I choose which stops we go to?
Yes of course - The day is yours!
Simply let us know which locations you would like to visit and we will take you there.
For a whole day tasting booking, we suggest you consider doing 2 tastings before lunch, your chosen lunch location then 2 tastings after. Of course, if we have more time up our sleeve we can always squeeze another stop in on the way back.
We strongly recommend that you book your tastings directly with the wineries beforehand as you may be turned away or find lengthy delays if you have not booked in advance.
Are we able to drink in the vehicles?
Due to current liquor licencing rules in South Australia and as we do not hold a liquor licence, alcohol consumption is prohibited in all our vehicles.
Water is allowed and provided whilst on tour.
I’ve paid a deposit for my wedding / tour but now need to cancel my booking, can I get a refund?
We appreciate things change and you may need to cancel your bookings with us. We request deposits to secure your date/type of vehicle for your event etc and these are non-refundable (this is due to having secured a date that we may have turned other work away to accommodate your booking), although we are willing to put your deposit against any future bookings you arrange with us.
How do I go about retrieving items I’ve left behind in your car?
If you’ve left something behind in one of our vehicles, please call our office on +61 418 112 999 to organise a mutual time to collect your goods. Should we need to arrange a driver to drop this back to you, we will charge you a full fare to do so.
Can you accomodate wheelchairs and walking frames?
Yes we can provided they are collapsible
What are your Covid-19 cleaning practices & check in requirements?
We are a quality tourism accredited business and comply with the COVID-19 cleaning practise requirements. Hand sanitiser is supplied in all our vehicles for your convenience and as an added safety measure interiors and regularly touched surfaces are wiped clean with disinfectant wipes after each group of passengers.
We also have COVID QR Code check ins available in each vehicle for you to scan and to ensure we all comply with the Government requirements as well as for all our safety.
We have a larger group arriving at Adelaide Airport – can you cater for us and do we need to book?

As part of our general fleet, we can accommodate up to 8 x passengers per van with hand luggage. Should you be bringing suitcases, we will need to arrange a trailer (at your cost) if there are more than 5 passengers.

How many passengers does your van hold?
Our luxury vans hold 7 to 8 passengers Depending on the model. (Our 8 passenger seating is 3 in the rear on a bench seat, then 4 x bucket seats and the final passenger would sit in the front seat. With the 7 seater there is only 2 seats in the rear). Please note this configuration means there is no boot space available.
Alternatively, we can transport 5 x passengers with luggage.
Do you charge wait times?
We allow a 10 min grace period from the agreed pick up time then you will be
charged as follows:
- $1.00 per minute up to 1 hour
- $1.50 per minute from 1 – 1.5 hours
- $2.00 per minute from 1.5 hours to 2 hours
- $3.00 per minute from 2 hours onwards
- For any bookings after midnight the wait charge automatically reverts to $2.50 per minute after the 10 minute grace period irrespective of how long the wait time is, unless previously agreed or discussed with our office.
Should you need to cancel a car service:
- If we receive more than 24 hours notice – there will be no charge
- For more than 12 hours notice, but less than 24 hours - 50% of the total fee may be charged
- If less than 24 hours notice - 100% of the total fee may be charged
These fees will be charged at our discretion.
